Ontario Express Entry Draw: Province Invites 2,583 Skilled Trades Candidates

Ontario has issued 2,583 immigration invitations to Canada Flow of qualified markets with Express access candidates in a new draw through Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The March 1 draw saw invitations issued to candidates in 40 occupations who scored between 350 and 424 Comprehensive Ranking System points.

The invitations were aimed at the following professions:

  1. NOC 72010 – Contractors and supervisors, machining, metal forming, trade formation and establishment and related occupations
  2. NOC 72011 – Contractors and supervisors, electrical trades and telecommunications occupations
  3. NOC 72012 – Contractors and supervisors, pipe trades
  4. NOC 72013 – Contractors and supervisors, carpentry trade
  5. NOC 72020 – Contractors and supervisors, trade mechanics
  6. NOC 72021 – Contractors and supervisors, heavy equipment operator crews
  7. NOC 72022 – Supervisors, printing and related occupations
  8. NOC 72100 – Machining and tooling machinists and inspectors
  9. NOC 72101 – Tool and Die Manufacturers
  10. NOC 72102 – Sheet Metal Workers
  11. NOC 72103 – Boiler
  12. NOC 72104 – Structural Metal and Plate Fabricators and Assemblers
  13. NOC 72105 Ironworker
  14. NOC 72106 – Welders and related machine operators
  15. NOC 72200 – Electricians (except industrial and power system)
  16. NOC 72201 – Industrial electricians
  17. NOC 72203 – Electric line and cable workers
  18. NOC 72204 – Installers and repairers of telecommunications lines and cables
  19. NOC 72205 – Installation of telecommunications equipment and cable television service technicians
  20. NOC 72300 – Plumbing
  21. NOC 72301 – Installers of steam fittings, piping and sprinkler systems
  22. NOC 72302 – Gas fitter
  23. NOC 72310 – Carpenters
  24. NOC 72311 – Cabinet Makers

  35. NOC 72500 – Crane operators

  38. NOC 73102 – Plasterers, Drywall Installers and Finishers and Foamers
  39. NOC 73110 – Roofing and roofing
  40. NATA 73111 – Jamora
  41. NOC 73113 – Floor covering installers
  42. NOC 73200 – Residential and commercial installers and servicers
  43. NOC 73201 – General building maintenance workers and building supervisors
  44. NOC 73202 – Pest controllers and fumigators

Ontario Express Entry: Skilled Trades Stream

The Express Entry Skills Trade Stream targets skilled workers in the construction and agriculture sectors, but may be expanded in the future.

To qualify applicants must have:

  • Active profile under the Federal Express Entry system.
  • At least 12 months, cumulative or continuous, full-time paid work experience in Ontario, within the last two years prior to the Notice of Interest, in major NOC groups 72 (excluding occupations below transportation officers), 73, 82, 83, 93 (except for aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors) or subgroup 6320 (except for cooks).
  • Proof of Ontario license or certification if a professional requirement.
  • A valid Ontario work permit and residency at the time of application.
  • Minimal language CLB/NCLC level 5 or above in English or French.
  • Proof of required repayment funds.
